What it is
The DEG
The Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) is an initiative developed to help improve the quality and accuracy of collision repair estimates, through proactive feedback from the collision repair industry and other "end users" to the Information Providers (IPs) that supply the databases for the various estimating products.
The DEG is created, equally funded and maintained by the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers and the Automotive Service Association.

Spot the issue
You find a labor time, procedure or part detail in an estimating database that doesn't match the repair.

Submit an inquiry
The Open Inquiry Form is provided by DEG. On the DEG home page, click the "Database Inquiries" dropdown to access the DEG database page.

The IP responds
Information Providers review the inquiry and publish a response — improving the data for every shop.
