About the Montana Collision Repair Association

A non-profit association of collision repair facilities, vendors and advocates working for safe, proper repairs across Montana.

About MCRA

The MCRA was formally organized in 1998 and continues to see annual membership growth. The MCRA has committed scholarship funds to Montana State University's Automobile Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program. In addition to education and skills development, the MCRA promotes the auto collision industry through legislative efforts to provide body shops and consumers a legal environment that allows them the best opportunity to have vehicles repaired safely and properly.

Our mission: to educate, inform, and represent the collision repair professional in all aspects of the industry.

01

Who we are

The Montana Collision Repair Association is composed of collision repair facilities all across Montana. Our members are body shops who believe that building relationships with our peers allows us to achieve greater consistency in industry practice — and thus, greater confidence in our industry for our consumers. The association believes that through education we will be better able to empower our peers and our consumers, and it enjoys strong membership and participation from supporting vendors.

02

What we do

The MCRA advocates for the educational development and professional growth of Montana collision repairers. Our member shops assist Montana consumers with repairs ranging from animal collision to hail damage, vandalism, parking lot dings and countless other causes of auto body damage.

The MCRA meets twice a year, usually in the spring and the fall, allowing member shops to network with peer shops as well as parts, equipment and service vendors. The association brings nationally recognized industry leaders and consultants to Montana to cover advancing technologies, construction materials, tools and equipment, estimating, sales, management, and building positive working relationships with insurance companies.
